    Buffalo Range Riding Park Closed

    by Pal » Mon Feb 09, 2009 8:51 pm

I just got a confirmation that Buffalo Range Riding Park is closed. They will be continuing the shooting range and the motorcycle service center at the office. Another really cool place to ride is gone.

If anyone knows of any other places in that general area please post your experiences. I had so much fun there and now its gone.

Pal that is too bad but she's had problems with neighbors for years.(not sure if that's why she closed).

Also in the area is Fox Valley Off Road in Wedron. It's smaller has some hills a small track and some woods with creek crossings.

The Cliffs is close. They allow jeeps and quads so the trails are probably like roads.I've never been there but have been told it can be challangeing.

I'm 90 minutes south of you on the Stevenson (I-55).I ride a couple places about an hour south of me that are fun.

Southfork Dirt Riders in Taylorville is a good time.Woods, track, consessions, showers, and flush toilets.

Brushy Ridge in Astoria has lots of woods, monster hills, creek crossings and a supercross style track. The down side to Brushy is nothing ever gets groomed....ever.On weekends they sell food.
