5 of us went down on Thursday for a Fri-Sat ride. Was great to get out of the cold! ~55 on Friday, 61 on Saturday. Friday was a bit rough - switching from hard pack and big woops to very find sand made for and interesting day. I am sure the winter fitness had nothing to do with it

One guy from our group had an old back injury resurface on Saturday so we cut things short. Still, great weather and trails kept the day from feeling like a loss.

If you are in the UT area and need a fix, I highly recommend the drive down - 4.5 hours from SLC. Rooms can be found in St George or Hurricane for around $60 if you are not looking to drag a trailer (we paid $55 per night at one of the Best Westerns). If the cold holds, we will be headed down again in a few weeks.

sounds fun! SG is not too bad of a drive from SoCal if you can avoid the Vegas traffic.
