I own property out side of Anaconda, we spend about a month there in the summer every year. Where are you at?

Born and raised in Bozeman, but stationed here in SoCal.
We have two companies of Marines running rampant all over the northern half of this island, and three Army regiments pinned down in the southwestern corner, doing nothing. What the hell is going on?

Im only 50 miles from Anaconda. Little town called Avon.
We ride pipestone ,Dempsey Basin, Race track and Wise River all summer plus a few more.
Do alot of high mountain lake fishing.

I was stationed at George AFB in Victorville in 1979 -1983 rode the high desert all over the place . But back then you could just take off any where with your only restriction being the size of your gas tank.

Is Lake El Mirage still open for riding ?? Had alot of fun there

Not sure about El Mirage. I'll look into it though!

El Mirage is still open. There was talk about a daily use fee for the area, I don't remember what happened if it went through or not, it prolly did.

Avon is on the road to Helena from Garrison right?? My property is over on Mill Creek on the road from Anaconda to Wise River.

Most of my friends from town are all quad riders so I'm dying to find some new trails. The quad guys showed me Race Track a while ago. Speaking of race tracks do you ever ride the Anaconda MX track??

I think we'll be up in early July this year. Perhaps we could hook up this summer and you could share some of the stuff you are riding if you don't mind??

...and sorry, when i grew up we devoted about 90% of our energy into snowmobiles.

In the summers we did a lot of riding up around Lewistown.
