I thought Big Willow was closed and tickets being issued ??

I live right by there ,(about 5 miles away) and last i heard , they closed it down a few months ago , because of the landowners cattle getting shot , and people tearing down his fences , so the Rangers were patroling and issuing tickets and making people leave !! , i know the Little Willow side is allowed in certain areas(BLM) , but not Big Willow...

and didn't they just close a lot of the area around Hemmingway as well ??

I know the main riding area is open , but a lot of the surrounding trails are posted and/or gated now

I know they did close some trails closer to Silver City , in the lower areas near the farms , supposedly for erosion control , i think it was like 20,000 acres last September , that hasn't re-opened

I know when i was at Hemmingway last fall , if you leave the staging area and continue down the main paved road , to where it starts to wind up the canyon , there are closure signs on almost all the trails except the one that goes east down the wash and the one that goes alongside the main road up to the top of the hills

Also if you go farther down the highway right after crossing the Snake River(if driving from Nampa)instead of turning down the road that goes thru the farm , and ride from the riding area there (just before Melba i think), and head towards the mountians towards Silver City on the trails , there are a lot of trails closed to any traffic there also..like i said that was last summer/fall

The closeure at Big Willow was just done within the last 2 months or so , everyone that comes into the bike shop says it's closed to riding , but i havnt been out there personally since Nov , as i spent most of last fall riding at Clay Peak Motorcycle Park

Wow !! that's cool , maybe when i'm able to ride again by September or so , i will head out there again !

Did u cross the road then go along the road (east i think) , or go from the staging area then to the right and thru the cattle gate , then over the ridge along side the fence ??
