    Ridgecrest and Bakersfield

    by DarthBEWD » Wed Aug 09, 2006 2:57 pm

I am employed by the US Navy and will be stationed at China Lake WS sometime around Jan 07. My question is who else lives in that area, where is good riding, both track and trail, and is anyone else on this forum also in the Navy up there. Thanks for any and all replies.

There are many places to ride out here. Mostly wide open fast desert stuff. If riding the woods is what your into, thats not a far drive either. Shoot me an email when you get into town and I'll show ya around.

I am very much into desert riding, but I also enjoy riding on MX tracks. I look forward to riding with all of yall when I get there.

Nope, Reg and Jim are good riders, have been riding much longer than me.

I might know some areas better that them, but no way am I as fast.

I was being "blustery", one good boast deserves another sort of response.

Right on.....Reg is actually quite the badass on a bike.....Jim's no slouch either.

I last went out with those guys when I had only had my bike for a month or so, It was like my 5th or 6th day riding.....needless to say, I had to tell them at one point that we were long past my ability level...I've gotten a tad bit better since then....What a difference a year makes.
