Well, I would take the 15 south to 79 south and exit there and take a left. Follow that for about 40 minutes until you get to the S2 and take a left. This is a tricky turn and most people pass it up the first time. The way to know that you are taking the right turn is there is a large gravel pull off lot on the left hand side. I believe there is a sign that says Anza Borrego left. Anyways, that road is about 16 miles long. When it dead ends into the 78, turn left. It's about another 30 to 45 minutes depending on where you want to park. If you are camping, I would suggest going as far east as you can. Most people stay on the western end so it's less crowded towards the end. Pole line road is pretty much one of the last places you will see. But, if you are just going for the day and your going to ride all day, than park at the closest spot you can find and go have fun.
Everyone else, please correct my directions if I made any mistakes.
BTW, it's regularly 90-100 degrees right now and is getting hotter by the day. We go to Ocotillo a lot but it's too hot now. I would ride it, but my family would have a fit with the heat. Let me know if you are going to head out there and maybe I can roll solo and I will show ya around. I live right off the 79 so you can follow me out.
