Hey guys,
Well Ill keep this short. I am 25 and I snapped the ball clean off of my left hip about 11 years ago in an old dirt riding injury.
I have dealt with it for 11 or so years with a lot of pain (arthritis type) and something that gets pinched quite often like a nerve. I am very athletic and in great shape so this is quite a inhibitor. It really affects my riding to a point because I can not take to much of a blow even to that left foot without having shooting pain in my upper pelvis, hip area.
When the first surgery was done they bolted the original ball back onto the femural bone and relocated it back into the socket.
I have lost a large range about 30% of motion in this leg and it is only getting worse in my 20's. I am a trooper and will ride it out, but I was wondering if anyone had any experiences like this which I am sure you have.
If so and you know any good docs or have any advice as far as surgery goes I would greatly appreciate it.
At this point I am SERIOUSLY considering and researching a replacement hip to gain a motion back and reduce this very intense pain.
Thanks CRFers.
Sincerely,
T.W.
