    circuit training

    by dave2005 » Thu Jun 19, 2008 1:35 pm

    Hey everybody,

I just wanted to share my new training routine with everyone.
A guy at my gym told me for motox to walk for 1 minute at a pace of 4.0 on the treadmill. Then run at a pace of 6.0-8.0 for 1 min. Then after this do 15-20 pullups, 15-20 squats (with no weight), 15-20 pushups, and 25-50 situps.
He said to do this for 5 sets. 3 x a week for 4 weeks. And on off days try to do around an hour of cardio.

Well, I'm going on a week of doing this and I feel so much better than when I was lifting heavy weights. I will let you know how much weight I have lost after the four week mark.

after i gave up the heavy weight lifting and picked up kickboxing. My cardio went way up and arm pump went byby. plus i feel alot stronger when riding. mx is all about the cardio/endurance. It only helps to be big and buff if you drop your bike alot.

This circuit training is a combination of high-intensity aerobics and resistance training designed to be easy to follow, give you a great workout, and target fat loss, muscle building and heart-lung fitness. This also means that circuit training is an excellent choice for people who cannot afford to spend 2-3 hours at the gym on a regular basis.

I am bicycling 100 miles one day a week, takes 6 hrs and 40 minutes. Then try to mountain bike 7-10 miles once or twice and another road ride 20-50 miles a week. Has added alot of endurance.
