new 300 rally lower body panels

    by buckshotsktm » Fri May 14, 2021 5:53 am

Hello I live in Canada and am looking to upgrade my KLX250s to the new CRF300. At first I was thinking the 300L
But the more I look at it the Rally has some of the more costly modifications that I would like to do to the 300L
    -larger fuel tank
    -wind screen
-and from what I understand a wider seat
the question I have is the seat comparable to a Seat Concepts (or would I still need to upgrade it)
as well I would want to put a bash plate on it and am curious is the lower body work removable and would it look stupid without it
With Covid and the bike being new to Canada my local dealer is yet to see them on their showroom floor so I can not actually look at the bike
I would imagine that we will be able to get after market racks etc. or do allot of the 250 Rally parts transfer over to the 300 rally

    thanks

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

In looking at the Honda Ca. site , it seems that the seat is lower and wider but to me it looks to be wide in the front area in the low area , where the Seat Concepts is wider more towards the rear , but I do not think it is equivalent to a Seat Concepts Wide seat

As far as accessories , I am guessing that anything that fits the regular 300 would fit the Rally , the 250 , I can't say , as I am not sure of the changes that were made between them , but I am also not sure on removal of the lowers , as I am sure there is mountings and framework that is meant to be covered or removed completely (guessing) , and I do not know who makes guards that extend past the bodywork for the 300 ... , there should be some info on Accessories by now , but I am not a Dual Sport guy , so I don't follow the trends and what is new or available , and usually Ca. bikes are usually different from U.S. models , as are U.K. models , some U.K. models have things we wish we had here ...

Hello I am new here but I just received my 300l rally and have done many modes. I can say the crf250 accessories do not work in the new model The mon shock is different and the forks springs are different. Yes the seat is a little wider than the 300l. For the side plastic covers. You can take them apart but it would not look good. If I wanted then off i would have bought the 300l. It does look great with them installed. It does have a thick pice of plastic Where the bash plate go and I have not seen a aluminum one yet. It depends on what kind of ridding you do. The plastic one will give some protection. The wind screen is perfect and also it gives you a place to mount the gps. They do make side protective bars but for now it looks like you can only get them for Thailand. Hope this helps happy riding.
