    JT Sprockets Installation

    by FrankNJ » Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:56 pm

I bought the JT Sprockets 14T front sprocket (model JTF1321) to replace my stock front sprocket on my 2018 crf250l. The new sprocket doesn't come with threaded holes for bolting on the retainer plate. How are these sprockets mounted and secured?

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

According to their site , that should fit the L .... but I am confused on the L lineup , as it says 2013-2018 250L/LA-D-E-F-G-H-J-K , but on the other line it says 250L - 2020 , so I do not know what , if any , the difference is between the model listing , as it is separate , so unless yours has that designation on the registration or something , then I would think it is the wrong sprocket .... , if reading it correctly , the L (by itself) shows that number fitting a 2020 only ..... http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/s916/

Actually, I bought it from Dennis Kirk. I just used the crfsonly website for reference. Learning lesson: Buy from crfsonly.

You can call JT sprockets direct and ask them the question. They have always been a reputable dealer.

Mystery solved. I ordered the wrong sprocket. The photos from each supplier are identical and the other supplier says it fits, but the manufacturer part number is different from what is listed on crfsonly. Ken also confirmed that the item listed on the crfsonly is correct.
