I bought a 2007 250R super cheap, but it doesn't run, or even start. I suspected the valves were out of spec, so I checked that and they were about as perfect as you can get, and the timing chain seemed fine. The flywheel weight was just a touch off. took off the exhaust and cleaned all of that. The plug has spark, and even if I spray gas in the carb, it won't start. I rented a compression gauge from oreilly, but it didn't have a 10mm adapter, so I ordered one that will be here Sunday. Im guessing the top end is trash and I will have to rebuild it. Is there anything else that should be on my radar that I should be looking at? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You did not say if you went through the carb? That's where I would have started before anything else.
A simple pilot jet slog could be the issue.

Even if I spray gas directly I to the intake/carb, it still will not start
