Hello fellow CRF fans. I have a 2013 CRF 450R that I would like to convert to a motard and make street legal. All of the kits that I have seen online have a disclaimer to the effect of "only valid if your bike already has a headlight" or "stator modification is necessary". Does anyone have some advice on how to effectively make this conversion?

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

There are several "universal" kits available that can get you what you need , like these https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/Sale ... Legal-Kits

What you need to do is find out exactly what your state requires for it to be "street legal" as it varies so much from state to state , as some require signals , others do not , for basics , all you really need is a headlight that has both low and high beam , and a working tail light and brake light , and a horn of some kind as well as at least 1 mirror and D.O.T. approved tires ...... again , this can change from state to state , your local DMV will have a requirement list so your bike will pass inspection ....... , but to me that would be the basics or minimum , which depending on what you want to , or can afford to spend , will determine which of those kits will work for you .... I thought Trail Tech had the complete D/S kits , but it looks like they have discontinued them for your bike (don't know why)

But that is where I would start , and go from there .... ;)

You will need a speedometer in this pile of parts less you become an easy victim of speeding tickets.
