In case anyone's ever wondered what happens when a cleaning rag falls into your rear tire at 70 mph.....

Damage: one flat spotted brand new Dunlop 208 tire and one brake rotor. It happened about 2 years ago but it seems like yesterday...Whew!

That ranks right up there with high speed wobble tank slappers at 80 and flat front at over 70mph! The new fruit of the looms are an understatement.

I left for work one morning. I had left a towel over the seat on my Ducati because my rotten cats always sit on my bikes and I wanted to keep their dirty paw prints and hair off the seat. When I left I noticed the towel was gone I figured the wife used it to wipe up a mess or something. It had fallen down onto the muffler on the opposite side of the bike out of my view. My wife watched in horror as I rode away. I got about a mile from home when I rounded a curve and started to get on it in 3rd. Suddenly the bike just quit and started to skid, I pulled in the clutch and rode it out swapping all over. When I called home to get the wife to come get me she was waiting for the call, she thought I would be calling after I crashed. The rag wrapped aroung the brake rotor, IN the brake rotor, and around the wheel. The was no warning, it just locked up out of the blue. I got the rag out and trucked the bike home.
