Hardline hr/tach meter

I hooked up a hardline hr/tach meter and it dose not read anything. Its just blank? Anyone know what's up.

5 raps around the spark plug wire. I’m a smart rear too “ I SAID Hardline” Ha

The new four-strokes have the coil mounted right on top of the spark plug, thus there is no coil wire running down to the plug like the old days!

Wrap the wire around the circumference of the boot that covers the spark plug. A few revolutions around this boot will suffice.
