I own the Tech 6's and have never had a complaint with them at all. Maybe I am just easy to please.

I had the tech 10 and the inner bootie tore up my ankles (abbrasion), sold them to a friend and bought the gaerne sg10 s I love them, great protection and it feels like your wearing nikes, as for being water proof I wish I could tell you but I live in Phoenix.

which is better, the tech 10 or the tech 7? i looked at the tech 7 online and it said that some of the stuff on it was derived from the 10, but i didn't read anything about the 7 having the inner 2 hinged bootie thing like the 10 does. so i would think the 7 is newer, therefore maybe being better, but i have no idea. also, the alpinestars site doesn't have the 7 on it. whys that?

$259 vs $459 The tec10 are probaly better but I am also in the market for new boots and the 7s are now on the top of my list.
btw. I would definetly wear those scotts

You might want to raise your shifter lever. With the new boots it really helps make upshifting easier and is safer too.

I went budget with the Fox Trackers ($150 OTD), haven't had a popped buckle yet, but there is a big gap at the ankle bend. They are comfortable, and protected me well glancing off of several rocks.

Owned AXO's in the past, great fit and durability at a higher price.

Like everything else, you get what you pay for.

The AXO RC6 boots are the best lower price boots on the market bar none. I've seen them new on E-bay for under 200.00. If anyone is looking for a good, comfortable boot and doesn't want to spend a grip, look into the AXO's.

I just shelled out 400+ on a pair of Alpinestar Tech 10's, sight unseen. They should be here in a few days. Hopefully they fit nice.
