I followed your advice Aussie so good so far.
This is the first time owning or riding a fuel injected bike. What an eye opener. It picks up as soon as you touch the throttle, I wasn't prepared for that, but I liked it.
I'm totally out of shape and a little overweight, and old. I found myself out of position constantly. I even went to the detuned map, which made it easier to get used to.
I had one incident where I landed off a jump got thrown back on the seat. Which caused me grab a handful of throttle, causing the bike to stand straight up. My eyeballs almost popped out of the goggles. Plus I sucked my shorts all the way up inside my a$$.
No doubt that I scared the crap out myself but it was fun
. I think part of my problem was the suspension, it was rock hard. I don't know why it didn't dawn on me to soften the suspension. I didn't adjust it until the end of the day, but things were much better after that.
