    Crf250r 07 cam change

    Hi guys got a crf250r 07 if i change the cam to a hotcams stage will i have to adjust the valves or not

    Yes , that part does not change , actually with the cam change you will most likely have to change the shims because the grind on the cam (overall diameter of the lobes) will be different than the original , so i would expect you to have to adjust them , just for the swap itself , but this will never eliminate adjusting valves , nothing will , the only thing that will "lessen" the need for adjustment intervals , is to go to Stainless Steel Intakes , this will "slow" the wear , but nothing will ever stop the wear.....All part of the fun of owning a modern 4 stroke ... :lol:

    Thanks mate already got stainless steel valves was just looking for abit more power and trying to get rid of the bog when cold

    For the bog , check the AP Squirt , and make sure its "just" missing the slide , if it hits it , it will make it bog , you can adjust it by removing the plastic cover that covers the throttle cables on the carb , there is a adjustment screw , you adjust the AP squirt timing there
