Any decent guards to replace the stock plastic one? Mines cracked and I don't want to put it back on, but the works connection stator guard that I want only fits '09. Why do they not make it to fit my bike? I don't want to buy the snow shovels I don't event want the whole skid plate (although again, I do like the works connection one) but no '10 model avail. Haven't found anything online that comes close. Carbon fiber?

Most who are wanting substantial protection for the engine need also a skid plate and go with this option:
