Check this first , make sure that the power wire is attached to the coil , sometimes when pulling the tank , the wire can get pulled off the connection by the fuel valve as it goes by , and it catches the power wire , it may look attached , and just be sitting there , or it can be completely off , no power to the coil , no spark , no start , or some power as its sitting there , but in the effort of kicking it , it breaks the connection , so it will try , but not run
Also , have you determined that your actually getting fuel to the plug ???
Turn your fuel valve on long enough so you know the carb is full , then remove the tank , then try to start the bike how you normally do , then pull the plug , it should have some gas wetness , if its completely dry , then your not getting fuel thru the carb , dip the tip of the plug in some gas , then re-install it and try to start it , if it tries to start or does for a brief minute , then fuel , or rather the lack of fuel is the issue , then check AP squirt , make sure it gives a good squirt , and just misses the slide , if squirt is good then your back to jets , or a internal blockage , or maybe even the float , or the needle/seat for the float stuck and not enough fuel in the bowl to be picked up , if the bowl has a drain screw on the bottom (flat screw facing left side at bottom of bowl just to the rear of the large nut at bottom) , loosen it and see if fuel comes out the drain tube , and see if fuel comes out for more than just a few seconds , or loosen the large nut at the bottom (don't completely remove it) and see if gas leaks out (put a rag under it to absorb the gas) , again , see if just a little , or a lot of gas comes out , if it looks to be enough to fill the bowl , then its not the issue
The bike needs Air , Fuel and Spark to run , so its one of those 3
