    2005 CRF250R stock exhaust

I just installed the JD jet kit with the default settings for sea level altitude.

After just a couple of rides I'm noticing soot build up on the tail pipe.

Does this necessarily indicate the the jetting is too rich? The bike runs great and I've really noticed how much easier it is to start; both hot and cold. Power and throttle response are great but I'm a fairly novice rider so I thought the stock jetting was just fine.

Easiest way to find out if it is to read the plug. Start with a clean plug then run the bike hard for about 15 minutes. Let it cool down and pull the plug (read the plug). Don't run it hard then put back - run it hard back to the truck.
