What do you think? Crf250 on Craigslist $700

Came across this post on Craigslist when I was looking for a 2005 carb to replace my 09. Seems like a good project to pick up.

Is there anything I should be weary of If I choose to move forward with it?
What is usually the cause of said scored cylinder, which could indicate/lead to possible other issues.

Will the risk outweigh the reward?

    Thanks.
    Nick

i would plan on replacing everything...Crank, Cylinder, piston and head or Valve job. Plan financially for the worst and hope for the best.

Since it needs new cylinder you could go with a big bore. which would take care of the Cyl. and piston with a touch of fun.

    Good luck! Keep us updated.

Likely $1500 to get this machine back in order...
