    CRF250R 2008 timing problem!

    by pyccak » Tue Sep 11, 2012 2:13 am

I opened head cover to valve clearance adjustment

Exception was only in right intake valve 0.17mm

    I adjusted the timing re-
    Motorcycle not start :(

    What the problem might be?
can i get a detailed guide to the Timing adjust

    tnx!

Did you set it at TDC before you started taking it apart?

    1. before this adjustment was the bike starting easily?

    2. has there been any engine damage in recent history?

    3. have you checked for spark, fuel?

it has to be either valve clearance or timing. check both. remember just one tooth off on the timing will result in hard to impossible starting.

if after it is started it runs well then starting with carb spray indicates you have a pilot circuit and possible an accelerator pump issue.
