Just installed new head. Timing is good, starts right up, but loud knocking from head. Took valve cover off, and as i rotate the crank the knock is comming from the auto decompression deal on the end of the cam. Anyone know why and what to do about it?

sometimes the decomp will make more noise than normal. try lubing the decomp system with oil. apply the oil to all the small working parts (including that little nub that activates the arm) apply a coat of assembly lube to the arm and surfaces if the oil doesn't work.
