Well I'm looking at buying a 2002 cr250 in mint condition. Just wondering if parts are still easy to come by. Sounds like they are. Anybody know much about this model of bike? I hear it was one of the best cr models ever made.

Most of the CRs of that era were very well made and were probably the best at handling and stopping.
The CR125s were lacking in power compared to other makers, but the 250s where pretty much up there with the pack.
Google bike shoot outs for that year for an "experts" view.
This may help on model changes

The later years the development dropped off quickly as those POS CRFs started to appear spelling the end for 2 strokes at Honda.
I still have a manual for 2002/2003 CR250 in pdf so I must have considered one worth having in the past.

Buy it. I miss my old 02 two smoker. Super light and green sticker.

Parts are no problem, there are 2 problems that you need to be made aware of. The stock carb (Mikuni TMX) is very tempermental and difficult to jet properly, most switch it out for the Keihin PWK. Problem #2 is that the airboot from the carb isn't properly designed to seal to the airbox. MX Bonz offers a kit to address this issue. Fix those 2 problems and roost away!
