    front tire choice

    by Chet » Tue May 15, 2012 9:54 am

I have an 2011 CRf250r, I was riding a hard packed type practice track for the last 2 weeks, found another track that is a softer terrain will be riding there more often, the tire I have now is the Geomax mx71, not sure this tire is working in this stuff, first time I was there it was OK, the next time it was a little wet and the bikes seems to wander. I don't feel confident when up on speeds. I want to try the Bridgestone M203 front tire, any comments.

I used to run the Bridgestone M403 front tire and it was pretty good. Kept good traction in the soft corners and didnt wander. I now run Dunlop MX51 front and rear and like them a lot better both front and rear. I ride at a lot of different soft and intermediate tracks with sand, mulch, loose top soil and a little clay and they hook up great.
