    FMF exhaust not fitting

    by imdeeds » Wed Mar 21, 2012 4:26 pm

Just put an fmf exhaust (power bomb and power core)on an 05 CRF 250 R. The spacer that came with the can is to space it from the frame.I could not get it in,the can naturally wants to be about an inch inside the fender.Do I need it to keep it out of the tire?
    Thanks for any help.

first, make sure you absolutely have the correct model for your model/year crf. the 250R changed in '06 and the '06 version will not fit the '05. second, make sure you do not try to use the stock mid-pipe clamp and insulating gasket. third, keep everything "loose" until everything is in the correct position then cinch everything up. if these tips don't help take some photos of what you are dealing with and post them up.

Thanks Ken. I let it sit over night. I redone it from scratch and it fit perfect. I think I had the head pipe twisted a little in the head.
