looks like I am going to buy an 07,
I eventualy plan to build the engine and suspension, I plan on having the suspension setup first, cause more power dont do much good without the suspension.

so point me to the mods i need to do,
I am new to bikes, I was a quad guy so ask me who can build ur atv race shocks i got you motorcycles I am lost so i need to know who to send it to to get that done.

I was thinking of a 280 kit, which one would u guys reccomend, again im new to this and wanted some opinions, plan to port n polish, different cam, high comp piston,

what other mods bark busters etc do i need to convert it over, i tjought even about a diff seat cover and more XC style padding

im sure u guys have done this a thousand times, im not loking for a trail only looking for a race bike if i wanted to

you'll love the world of dirt bike riding. very challenging but a ton of fun.

not sure where you are but you should find a reputable suspension shop nearby if you can.

for the big bore kit the Athena is an excellent kit and has been race proven. Cylinder Works is fairly new. we offer both kits. the Athena is more popular and has been around for a long time so there's lots of good experience with this kit. in both cases they provide a new cylinder which is a must to reduce the likelihood of overheating. don't get talked into a big bore kit that requires a bore and replate of your cylinder. these types overheat.

we do head work so we can help you with performance valve jobs, port and polish, new seats and guides, etc.

the good news is the '07 R has the updated porting so you have a good head to perform the port and polish on. as well the '07 R cam was a good cam. the '08 a bit better. we also have aftermarket cams, valves, piston, etc. so really anything is possible. just depends on your power goals.
