I can get a good deal on an 06 CRF250R (about $4000 new). Would I be disappointed with the o6 vs a newer model?

Does the 06 have any bad bugaboos I should know about?

Do the 07/08 model years have any outstanding advances that would make them worth the extra dough?

Unless you are racing seriously, I would buy the new '06. We bought new '04 CR125 in 2006 (3400$) and bike has been great.

I think the '07 fixed the accelerator pump lag problem
(JD kit has o-rings to fix that)

Son has '07 and '08
'07 was perfect once we jetted carb correctly.
Haven't had the '08 on track yet.

I we didn't race a would buy bikes at the end of model year and save some $$$$
