    Revalve/Suspension Company?

    by AUKwrestle250 » Tue Sep 11, 2007 6:49 pm

Hey guys. I have yet another question. I am going to be getting my suspension revalved/re-sprung to account for my lower weight and height. Which company would you go with for suspension work?

Choices: RG3, Pro-Action, Factory Connection, & Race Tech.

    Thanks.

    Jon H.

Precision Concepts in So-Cal. Google them and read a little about what they do. Mark at the El Cajon location took good care of me.

Precision Concepts did mine (450x)and I cant tell you what an awesome job they did. We had ESP do my daughters (CR125) along with a complete lowering of the bike about 21/2 - 3 inches and she was equally stoked about the way it turned out. I think any one of the companies with a good reputation will do an awesome job for you. Don't be afraid to ask questions so you can feel comfortable with the people you decide to spend your money with. Thats why I chose Precision Concepts, they have a lot of knowledge with Honda
(Mainly OFF ROAD) and thats what I mainly ride. You may be more in to track riding, so you may want to go with a company that specializes in that area. Like I said I don't think you can go wrong with any of the reputable companies!!!
OH and one more thing... be ready to smile after you get it back :D

Don't forget to ask around in your area about a local tuner as well. I had mine done by McClain Suspension here in Baskersfield because he came highly recommended by the local guys that I know. I am not sorry. He saved me a bit of change as well.

i have only dealt personally with race tech, they are amazing but i have been told that all are pretty well the same now days. the biggest thing is going to be finding a good local tuner that can ensure your spring rate needed and set up the sag and such for you. without a proper rider setting tuned to you, you will never be getting the quality of suspension you put on your bike. it is easy to miss out on an awesome suspenion package with the wrong spring rate or improper sag and setup. race tech gold valve is what i am putting in my bike

I've had Pro-Action do mine and my sons and they do a excellant job. The oil is included in the price unlike alot of others you have to add that into the price. My Cr250 takes on braking bumps great a very plush ride.
    just my 2 cents. :D
