I ride at Carnegie(CA) and from what i have noticed is that they rarly ever check the to see if its red or green so do you think i will be able to still go in with the CRF250R cause im planing on buying one soon.

I wouldn't count on it. Las tcouple of times i have been there there are at least two rangers working the gate and one is ouot to check tags. I got hit up about my smog eqpt a while back so I put it back on. Good luck

Damn sounds like they have been cracking down on that. I remember before I forgot to put my sicker on and I just said it was a brand new bike i wounder if there observant enough to tell that the 250R's are red stickers but I guess i better play it safe and get the X and try my best to convert like the R.

Dont think you'll regret the X the expense of converting it to an R will most like be made up in year round riding and the E-start.

Most know that it's the VIN number that tells the story.

If there's a "3" or a "C" in the 8th position it's a RED sticker.

I deffinately wouldnt try it. The way Carnegie rangers are, if you did make it in the gate, if they caught you riding it you would probably be put face down on the ground in hand cuffs and have to watch them load your bike on a tow truck before they took you to jail. They are crazy out there.
