    Whats up with the Clutch Basket Recall on the '07?

    honda tried to smooth up the clutch and make it easier to pull by adding new softer clutch springs but the softer springs didnt engage as quickly as the harder springs so it ate up the clutch if this happened to you take it to the dealer you bought it from and they will fix it for free

    There was actually more to the recall than that. In certain serial number models, there was a problem with the rubber bumpers that are in the starter ring on the back of the basket. These bumpers were breaking and the clutch basket was coming apart. If you contact your dealer, they can tell you whether or not your bike is affected.
