    clutch

Hello I moved my son from a YZ125 to a CRF250R. I had a magura hyd. clutch on the 125. Should I put one on the 250 or go with a Rekluse system? If I go with the rekluse is there alot of maintenance(adjusting shims or plates)do they wear the clutch plates faster than using the cable? I am just remembering those auto clutches on his ktm50
    thanks confusedtech

the magura will not fit directly from the 125. you may be able to get just the parts to move it over but i'm not sure about that.

the rekluse will not wear your clutch more or quicker than it normally would. it works very well and the PRO version allows you to have standard manual clutch control and feel. it's the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the info. I have already talked with magura and can get just the slave cylinder to do the swap. I was very interested in the Rekluse system. My son rides every afternoon in the backyard and races too, thats why I was wondering about the wear of the clutch.
