    has anyone tried the athena 280 kit? if so what do you think? does the bike still rev to the moon? Please let me know, thanks.

    I think he is referring to big bore kits not being allowed to run in the 250 or lites class. They are legal however in the Vet and older classes where its run what ya brung.

    Wat was the point of buying a 250 if you wanna give it a biger bore, why didn't you just get a 450

    ride harescrambles in tight eastern woods, small bike is alot better in that situation. Had a crf 450r and prefer the 250r.

    Yamaha, great question. I have my new Atena kit, but I have yet to install it. My bud, Al at Reactive suspension, told me it will give me low end and mid, but I may loose a hair off of the top. I ride with all big bikes, on small tracks, so I need the speed out of the corners.....I think!?!?! Anyone else have one on their 250

    Graffix, please let me know how your bike turns out when the kit is installed. I can't believe there is not alot of people who has tried this kit :!:

    its great, just put mine on 3 days ago, a lot more torque. and i havent really hit it hard yet since its no broken in, i have blipped the throttly a few times and it is realy nice!

    great low end and mid power it's super fun and fast. I need to gear it a little taller. Go from a 13/51 to a 13/49. now i need to fix the bog.

    If your feeling the bog after dropping to the 49 try adjusting the fuel screw, it solved my issue without tearing down the carb.

    Well, you may have seen my other posts. Lotso torque... but after 3 hours my base gasket is leaking. :-(
