only hard to start when its cold
it only takes a kick when warm
when it runs it runs very good
just got a new piston installed and valves adjusted, but im not so sure they did the valves right
i made the mistake of paying a shop to do the valves because i was moving and didnt have the time
ill never do that again
does this sound like a valve issue
it does pop on decel
i rejetted the carb and its still hard to start
it takes a lot of gas to get it to start

When you rejetted the carb, did you change the pilot as well? Decel pop is an indication of a lean pilot circuit.

On my 06crf250r if I let it sit for more than a week it had to be push or pull started, you could kick it for hours with no luck, frustrated I even took it to the dealer a couple times. In the long run turns out for me if you shut off your gas right before your done riding and run the bowl COMPLETLY out. Even if it sits for a month when you gou back it fires on the 2nd kick every time.
