Just bought a bunch of stuff to overhaul a 2005 carb. Among everything is JD jet kit and Leak kit both which provide o-rings for part of the AP mod. I did not know this was provided in the kit at the time of ordering so I also got a Merge racing AP spring.

My question is given the two options available which should I choose?

Do it with the o-ring provided by JD?
Or
Use the spring from Merge

Any advantages either way?

The Merge spring solves the problem instantly and permanently.
The oring works fine, but will eventually break. Not a big deal, but the spring works forever.

Off orig topic but to avoid creating another thread:

I am doing the updated accelerator pump kit on 05 carb

In the how to thread they say to remove the AP check valve from the bowl because the updated Honda AP cover has the check valve in the new AP cover.

Do that or,

I Have a Quickshot cover, Can I avoid removing the check valve and re install the Quickshot (which doesnt have a check valve in it) without throwing off any settings.

What's my best option.

I may be making this really confusing but I did my best.
