    NEED SOME QUICK ADVISE

    I JUST BOUGHT 2007 CRF 230 WITH ABOUT 10 HOURS ON IT. THE BIKE IS ALL STOCK. I JUST ADDED THE POWER UP KIT AND REMOVED THE AIRBOX AN TAIL PIPE RESTRICTIONS. WE LIVE IN N CA. RIDING ELEVATION ABOUT 2000 FEET TEMP IN THE 60-S THE BIKE RUNS GREAT WITH NO ISSUES AT ALL EXCEPT THE SPARK PLUG IS SHOWING BLACK SOOT. I BELIEVE IT IS RUNNING TO RICH BUT SEES TO RUN GREAT. SHOULD I JUST LEAVE IT ALONE OR CHANGE SOME OF THE JETTING. THE NEEDLE JET IS IN THE MIDDLE POSITION AND AM RUNNING A 132 MAIN AND 48 PILOT. ADVISE WOULD BE GREAT...[/b]

    The 120 main and a 45 or 48 pilot combo in the 230 have been thoroughly tested by Mike Coe (google the name) with some very imressive results.

    He (Mike aka CoeShow) has some interesting findings with regard to the power up needle vs specific OEM 230 needles.
