    08 450x jetting @ 8k-13k ft. HC Stage 1 Cam, Yoshi Pipe

Looking for any suggestions on jetting for a 08 450x with a Stage 1 Hotcam, Yoshi Full Pipe, most other basic mods, riding at 8k-13k feet?! (Colorado Mts) Anybody have experience jetting this altitude? I did not see anyone in the jetting thread that rode primarily this altitude...Dont know if the needle is stock or not... Is the JD Jet Kit the best thing to buy to dial in this altitude? Do you need to change the pilot jet for a better idle or other reason? Thanks for the help!!

we've had good success with the JD Jetting kit. with your set up you may have to go one larger on the pilot jet with the JD Jetting kit.

A good starting point for summer temps are:

    165 sea level
    162 2000 feet
    160 4000 feet
    158 6000 feet
    155 8000 feet.

As it gets colder, like by more than 25 degrees, you can run one size richer.

At 50 degrees at 8000 feet, I would run a 158 and lean the stock needle one clip, with a 45 pilot at 1.75 turns out.

These bikes are not super finicky to jet, and will run ok if you are 4 sizes off.
