    150f problems

    by ktm909 » Sat Apr 23, 2011 5:28 pm

Installed power up kit twin air filter and chm pipe on my sons 06 150. Bike starts and runs clean except when throttle is cranked wide open from idle, at that point it stalls out. Bike runs great if you just ease the throttle on. Can anybody help with this.
    Thanks

hi chris...is this happening while riding or on the bike stand? if on the stand it's not uncommon. ride it and see if you get the same results. also, if you don't have an asjustable fuel screw get one. it will help you fine tune the pilot circuit which controls the off-idle fuel mixture.

I had it do it just on side stand but son says it stumbles when riding. I did get the adjustable needle from you but just got a d wrench from a friend today so have not changed it yet. Thanks so much for the help and super quick response.
    Thanks again

make sure when replacing the fuel screw not to lose the o-ring, spring and washer. you'll need them to reinstall. you will likely be able to fine tune things with the fuel screw.
