    06 honda 450x with pro circuit 496 pipe high elevation jett

    i have a 06 450x with pro circuit 496 pipe and block off kit and also cut some of my air box. i used to live in california and my bike was jetted for there, but now i moved to colorado and most riding spots are from 6000 to 12,000 feet im currently running 155 main and 45 pilot what do you recommend for this elevation change or do i even need to change jets? please help wanna ride!!

    welcome john to the site! i'm a big fan of the jd jetting kit. comes with two needles, high altitude needles, and required jets. the instructions tell you which needle to use, which clip position and which jets. you keep the other needle, jets and instruction in your tool box should you ever need them for a different riding location.

    Your jetting is perfect for 6,000 feet and up already. Are there any driveability issues?

    no issues its just everyone i talk to is telling me to jet my bike because the lowest altitude is 6,000 and all the way up to 12,000 ft but if you dont think i need then awesome saves me money and work

    yeah, if you don't have any low end off idle bogging or hesitation and it revs strong through out the rmp range then run with it.
