    i bought a jd jet kit off ebay for a crf250 but it came and is foe a 08 crf250. Can i use it on my 04 or are they different. The site has different part#'s for the 08. i hope it will work

    What does the top of the needle look like?

    Does it look like a nailhead or is it flat with the grooves starting below?

    its flat with grooves right away. No nail head. it didn't come with any o-rings or directions for the ap mod. Thanks for quick response!!

    It should physically work...however the jetting specs for the 08 will be radically different than the 04.

    They changed the size of the carb in 06 from a 37mm (which you have) to a 40mm.

    You will have to do some experimenting yourself to get everything right which kinda defeats the purpose and usefulness of the JD Kit.

    My recommendation? See if you can return it and buy the correct kit.
