    Quickshot on 08 CRF450

    by Ryno785 » Fri Nov 12, 2010 7:10 pm

I just bought a Boyesen Quickshot today and got it installed this evening. My bike is running like crap now. I turned the air fuel screw out half a turn like the instructions said it still bogs really bad off idle. Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong?

Don't think 1/2 turn out is right for the fuel screw. The quickshot doesn't control the pilot circuit. It controls the AP squirt. Are you sure it's not the AP set screw that it states to set at 1/2 turn. I don't have Quickshot on my 08, but I did on my 06 and it came with a feeler gauge to set the AP gap. Might also check that the diaphragm is not upside down, the long side of rivet goes on bottom. And make sure the slide plate is installed with the hole at bottom.

Hey just wondering how did you guys like the Quickshot after you got it tuned right? I'm thinking of getting one for my 05 CRF450 and just wondering how it performs over stock. Thanks
