    by coope » Thu Apr 15, 2010 10:55 pm

    Hey all

When snapping the throttle the bike is boggin

Everything is stock and my valves are all at spec.

Inspected the carb and its all clean and in the correct place.

Ive bought a quickshot 2 which im hoping might help

I am also considering buying the JD jetting kit. Are their any other mods i should consider?

Also what is included in the JD kit? leak jet etc? as ive been told to run a 40 leak jet by afew people now

Any help with jetting or mod suggestiong would be greatly appreciated.

I live in australia and usually run around 170M to 350M above sea level

and the climate over here is between 23-25 degrees cel. but can range up to 40 deg cel in summer and 19 deg cel in winter

    :D thanks to any help

the jd jet kit is the way to go. the kit includes two speacially tapered needles and various main jets, also two orings for the ap mod, and instructions on set up. i first bought the kit and took it back without installing because i couldnt see paying 70 bucks for two o rings and some jets, after my needle became worn and i was tired of changing jets i bought the kit again and installed it...by far one of the best mods ive done. revs quicker no bog. as for the 40 leak jet, on the jd site they recommend it for our hondas i have no experience with it :?:

ive just found that jd makes a leak jet kit aswel.. is this as good as the main jet kit or am i better off paying for a cheap leak jet?

also what other mods should i consider to try and rid the off idle bog?

i believe the 05 still used the 37mm carb so getting rid of the bog shouldnt be as hard as later years. the jd kit and ap mod ought to help alot. i would imagine the jd leak jet kit will be a quality item based on the performance of their other products. id have to say start with the jet kit, see how you like it and go from there.
