    pilot jet issue

its a general consensus that the 45 pilot jet is good for the 450r, so i went up to the 45. since then ive put on an 07 450r head and installed the jd jet kit. now i can only open my fuel screw about 3/4 before it starts running poorly, so i went back down to the 42 and im at almost 3 out. i had the zip ty fuel in and took it out and went back to stock thinking maybe the fuel screw was faulty. same with the stock fuel screw. will it hurt anything to run the 45 at 3/4 out? am i maybe missing something?

The 45 is best for the 450R in our climate. The fuel screw should opened more, but if it's snappy at 3/4, then so be it. Are you sure you don't have an extra o-ring up in the carb??

i had the carb off and used some wire to get into the fuel screw hole, and nothing came out. after looking in there for awile i thought i saw a lip that could be an o ring but it wasnt coming out with the wire, so as far as i know theres nothing in there. thanks A.S im gonna run the 45,cuz id rather have the screw in than almost fallin out, already lost one of those! thanks paul
