    2004 crf50f jetting problems

    by jspd234 » Wed Jan 20, 2010 10:29 am

i have the prob on my kids 04 crf50. took off the stock airbox, put on a uni filter, now a bog rite off idle unless i roll it on real slow. then when up in rpm its fine. there is no pilot jet(its a slow jet circuit). so how do i fix the low end(from idle) bog??!! i already raised the needle up all the way, i adjusted the air screw to about 1 full turn out for best response. does anybody have the fix for this??!!

fixed it myself. made sure silencer wasn't clogged, messed with air screw, needle position, etc. oiled uni filter, raised needle all the wat up and even added a teeny tiny dinky washer under clip to raise needle even more, changed out 58 main jet to a 62 main jet. lots of removeing needle and re installing for proper needle position. it is trial and error testing fo sho. its done and its more grunt than stock. thats all i wanted.
