    .90 Leak Jet

    by trailatrsh » Mon Nov 09, 2009 11:14 pm

I have an 06 CRF450R and I did the full AP Mod and am wondering where I can get a .90 leak jet? All the message boards seem to agree it works the best.

I'm not sure exactly. I'm rebuilding my top end and in the process I've been ordering parts and doing research on my bike while I wait for the shop to finish my head. In the redbeard mod instructions it said they were still playing around with leak jet sizes so I didn't know which one I should go with. You know how the internet is once you get to clicking you forgot where you started.

    Thanks for your help!

In 450R's I've always had best luck with a 50 after the accel pump mod, stock on the R's is 55.

I don't have the bike back together yet so I cant try it out, I'm trying to just get everything ready. If I leave the stock one in for now will it be OK or will it effect it alot? I don't want to have a problem with the carb when I'm trying to start up a fresh top end.
    Thanks for your help!

You should be fine running the stock leak jet, if you have any lag or bog when all done and broken in, then start playing with jets, messing with them now is not a good idea, may cause an issue that you may percieve as something else from all the other new stuff. If it ran good before the topend, i would leave it till you know all is good there again, then you have a basline to go from.
