Correcting for cold? 40* or so.

We went for a ride last week and it was chilly. Thermometer said 42*.

Bike was running awesome, though a touch harder to start as to be expected, and took a little to warm up. Just a mile or two.

Felt like the bike had lots more oomph and response, but still had a touch of decel pop. Only when letting off after running wide/almost wide open. Just a single pop, no continuing.

So, I'm a little confused as to why. It seems, and I've thought this, that it's a little rich in the summer however I want to make sure that for 40* or so I'm not too lean.

    Running around 6-7000'.
Do not send me to a heaven where there are no dogs.

    Riley,

I would expect a lot more oomph in the cold as your motor draws in a denser charge.
More fuel/air mixture , more go.

Going up an idle jet size would improve the starting and warm up time. You would probably have to change back come summer though.

You may want to open the fuel screw a bit when riding in the colder season. Also a little decel pop is not a bad thing.
