Raised clip on bike and throttle not working?

I raised the clip on my sons crf 70 and after doing it I put it back together and as soon as i screw the throttle cable into the top of the carb it seems to stop or pinch the throttle cable and the throttle does not work? Is there a certain way or trick to putting the thrttle cable with clip back in? Any info would be awesome!!

did you put the slide in backwards?

I got it figured out, I had to turn the barrel 180 degrees. Once I did that it went in all the way and all is good now. Thanks

that is what is called the throttle slide or slide for short
