    crf450r 03 and 06 carburator differences. HELP

    by RICH-THETOOLSWINGGUY » Fri Feb 13, 2009 8:45 am

I bought an 06 crf450r and I'm gonna part out my 03. I just recently rejetted my 03 crf450r and have it dialed in. I'm wanting to swap carbs to keep from rejetting the 06 to the way I want it. It this wise? Or is there some differences from the 03 to 06 that makes it worth keeping the 06 carb. Thanks. Rich

A properly jetted carb. on your 03 does not mean it will be properly jetted on another bike. I would leave the 06 carb. and rejet if needed. The two carbs. are different in standard jetting specs.
