    AP MOD HELP

    by KUGSS » Thu Jun 26, 2008 6:40 pm

I just did the ap mod and now my bike idles very high unless i realy snap the throttle. I checked to make sure the cables are not to tight or binding up anywhere. I try to adjust the idle screw and it stalls or revs real high. And when i rev it up it backfires out the exhaust and will shoot a fire ball out. I tried to adjust the pilot screw and it helped. Should i by a bigger pilot jet and would that help my idle problem?

What bike do you have, what year, and did you do the full redbeard mod or just the oring part?

I did the oring and ground the rivet down 2mm. 04crf450r with procicuit slip and stainless valves. Would running this on the stand with no sub frame and no air filter cause this. The bike is so responsive now but doesnt like to idle or idles to high

Get it all buttoned back up and see how it reacts. If still messed up then go back to stock on the rivet.
