Is it normal for gas to come out of the overflow tube?

i'll start off with the relative specs on my bike.
I have:
cut the top of airbox
removed the backfire screen
pink wire stock.
removed exhaust baffle
O ring mod
42 pilot jet
fuel screw out 1 3/4
165 main jet(had 160 on but it would stall after quick snap of the throttle from idle)
jd red needle on 5th clip from top
ride from 0 to 3500ft
temperatures from 40 to 100 degrees

now... I went for a quick ride around the block with the 160 main jet got back and there was some drops of fuel coming out of the over flow tube. I switched to a 165 main, rode around the block. The bike idles so smooth and rides unreal but when i get back... same old drops of gas coming out of the overflow tube. Is this a normal thing to happen with jetting? Is it from me ripping then shutting it off pretty quick? or should i change something in my jetting?

Then this is indicative of your float level too high. Possibles:

--Your fuel screw o-ring is leaking air past it.
--You have dirt or foreign debris keeping the main needle and seat from sealing off correctly.
--You changed your float level by bending the tab on the float itself.
--The float bowl gasket is leaking air past it.

Somehow the float level is too high. Allowing air into the bowl via a non-designed pathway, dirty or bad needle/seat, or float adjustment is incorrect...

Or the drain screw just might not be tightened all the way.. :D I've done that before... :D

could it just be the air trapped in the float working its way out? i just had the float plug out to change the main jet and then went for a less than two minute ride. think its just because the air that is inside the float hasnt worked itself out yet? im a carb rookie. i really doubt that theres dirt anywhere tho... i cleaned everything out before taking the carb apart. I might need to tighten the float plug though becuase i changed this out very quickly and might not have tightened it down enough. plus i couldnt get my 17mm socket on properly because the bike was completly put together and not much room.
thanks for all your help
